Despite Steven's religious hypocrisy and ongoing infidelity, Alina and Steven's relationship was filled with numerous red flags. Steven and Alina have stunned everyone in 2022 by revealing a seemingly functional marriage.
Steven, a Mormon, and Alina, a young Russian woman, fell in love although Alina does not identify as a Mormon. Alina was heavily pressured by Steven to convert to his strict religion, which included remaining a virgin until she was married. In order to ensure that he did not ingest any alcohol, he spits out the wine after drinking it.
When Steven discussed his relationship with Alina, he revealed that he had slept with multiple women and had even hooked up with one. After the Tell-All, it was revealed that Steven had entered nearly a dozen women's DMs, despite being married to Alina. Alina chose to stay with Steven even when Steven's ex-girlfriend came to warn her. Many viewers believed that Alina would soon suffer heartbreak due to this circumstance.
Alina's marriage is thriving on Instagram despite many 90-Day Fiancé franchise fans anticipating her to suffer a great deal of heartbreak. The wedding of Steven and Alina changed Steven entirely as a person, encouraging him to grow up and mature. Steven says he has become a new person after his wedding, while many viewers find it difficult to believe that the franchise villain has changed significantly.

Given Steven's unfaithfulness and outlandish behavior, some viewers don't believe he really changed.
Alina and Steven's marriage, on the other hand, is strengthened by Steven's excellent Russian language skills. Though he is one of the few 90-Day Fiancé cast members who speak the same language as his partner, he is highly disliked by franchise fans. Alina's relationship with him has not been affected by this.
