This is one we are looking forward to a great deal, and not just because Hilary Swank will star in it. We still have a bit of a wait on our hands for this to be released, which is the bad news.

As it is still summer, we are not often treated to new television shows this time of year - unless they were planned for a summer release. Alaska Daily was not one of them. Because it was planned for a fall television season, we will have to wait until the fall for the episodes.
The good news is that a release date has been set. The premiere date of Alaska Daily has been confirmed by ABC. It will be broadcast at 10 p.m. ET/PT, which is the timeslot Big Sky had last season. Although it is a challenging time slot, we hope Swank's role in the series will attract more viewers.
There are no details about the series at this time. All that is known about the film is its synopsis, which suggests that Swank will play a disgraced New York journalist who moves to Alaska to start over. While there, she discovers that a number of women have disappeared in the area and nobody knows why. By investigating the case, she hopes to fix her career as well as get to the bottom of the case.
