An Analysis of The Bold and the Beautiful: A Whole Lot Of Truth

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful have their own opinions - and Soap Hub is no different. As we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B's week.

There sure was a whole lot of truth being spoken on this week’s Bold and the Beautiful, from John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) admonishing Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) for, “Always blaming others for what you set in motion,”

To Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) pointedly wondering to Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), “Why the Hell does [Ridge] get to make all the rules…He is married to Brooke…why does he get to dictate who you see?” I’d particularly like an answer to that latter question.

I would like to know why world-renowned psychiatrist Taylor is so concerned that she and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) suddenly showing up might interfere with Steffy Forrester Finnegan's (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) ability to recover - especially since Steffy's doctor warned them against it.  That's right, I meant that! She needed to see her parents, and Ridge decided that seeing them would be exactly what she needed.

Even so, I was pleased to see The Bold and the Beautiful proceed at such a clipped pace...if only there had been B and C storylines to replace some of the more repetitive dialogue. The concept of death will be skewed in Kelly's mind as he grows up.

I don't think anyone involved in filming Friday's episode made much effort to conceal the fact that the woman Finn encountered wasn't Steffy, did they? Wouldn't it have been better to dress the actress in the same unsuitable-for-strolling outfit that MacInnes Wood wore? Ken Hanes (Mike Guthrie) is such a poor guy. The kiss finally gets him, but the girl doesn't...just jail time.

Some things made me go, “Huh?” – How is it that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) couldn’t remember the name/address of the hotel she stashed Finn? How come neither Li nor Finn mentioned to Bill that Sheila had a partner-in-crime? In addition, why didn't Deputy Chief Baker (Dan Martin) suspect Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton)?

CBS broadcasts The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) on weekdays. For airtimes, check your local listings. You can learn more about what's coming up in Los Angeles on B&B spoilers, as well as get an in-depth look at the show's history.
