Fans of 90 Day Fiancé's Ben Rathbun and Mahogany Roca think the couple should break up before they get married. Mahogany, 22, was so enchanted by Ben's shirtless modeling photos that she sent him a friend request. However, she did not reveal her real age or address to him. In three months of online chat with Ben, the Peruvian woman claimed to be 24 years old but refused to video call him out of shyness.
The father of three met Mahogany on a two-week trip to Peru and knew he had found the right woman for him. He didn't give up on Mahogany, despite her requests not to meet and her ghosting at the Lima airport. Having wooed Mahogany with his runaway train story, Ben finally saw her in person, confirming that she was not a catfish. Despite this, Mahogany's feelings for him weren't genuine. Ben was her boyfriend, but she refused to acknowledge him, claiming he was the one hiding his past secrets.
Mahogany walked away from Ben in the finale after giving him hope on several occasions and even kissing him at a moment when she said she was confused. Ben returned to Peru without the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days team, and convinced Mahogany to date him in the Tell-All. The show ended with Ben and Mahogany together, as fans know. To fill in any gaps left by another source storyline, the couple launched a YouTube channel a few months later.
It surprised those who watched Benjamin and Mahogany's YouTube channel that the pair seemed to be in love, which came as a shock to those who shook their heads in disbelief.
Several people labeled Ben and Mahogany a fake couple after last week's video update, in which Ben proposed to her. She showed off her unmanicured hand and a new ring, given to her by her former youth pastor, the same Mahogany who cringed when Ben touched her on the show.
Mahogany kept countless things from Ben during their "relationship" on the show. Mahogany showed Ben an AirBnb with bunk beds and a surfboard and claimed it was her apartment. In Huacachina, she had left him alone in a hotel because she was unsure of him.
The couple's father was against Mahogany dating Ben too, but he appeared in the proposal video to give his blessings to the couple, which many people found strange. Instead of thinking that Ben and Mahogany were actors in the 90-Day Fiancé storyline, they now believe they have concocted an engagement to stay relevant.
A reality TV star was arrested for violating probation resulting from a 2020 OUI arrest while the show was still airing. His legal issues led to his termination from the Michigan Lupus Foundation. The majority of fans believe Ben doesn't have money, and Mahogany is using him to get to the U.S. If they are engaged, they believe Mahogany will unceremoniously dump him once her agenda is complete.
There is a good chance that Ben and Mahogany will appear on at least one more 90-Day Fiancé spin-off. It's reported that they were spotted filming recently, so if they're not cast in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 6, a 90 Day Diaries episode or two might suffice.
