Toward the end of Chicago Fire season 10, Stella Kidd found herself in a difficult situation. In spite of the fact that the character had just gotten married to Severide (Taylor Kinney), and was excelling at her job, things took a turn for the worse once they embarked on their honeymoon.
Prior to the end of the season, it was revealed that a man was hiding in the honeymoon suite with the intent of harming the couple. The cliffhanger remains, but there will likely be additional details once Fire returns for season 11.
Despite the fact that the Fire camp has kept plot details under wraps very well, we did get a key piece of information thanks to a behind-the-scenes video of Miranda Rae Mayo on set, which provides some crucial points about the series.
During the video in question, it can be seen that the character is wearing her wedding ring, which confirms that she does manage to get out of the honeymoon suite unharmed. Due to Kidd's position as an important character on the show, there was a low risk that she would be killed, but Fire has always been adept at putting its characters in danger in unique and exciting ways.
Even though the video fails to confirm whether Severide survives, we can assume that he found a way out of the potentially deadly situation. During the final episodes of season 10, the character experienced a number of violent confrontations, so it is easy to imagine that things between him and the intruder will be very heated.
Taylor Kinney has stated that he is eager to start season 11, and see where the character goes as he follows up on his character's storyline, so whatever injuries he sustains in the attack will not have a lasting effect on him. There will never be another fire for Stellaride to put out, but it will go out one more time.
