Throughout The Bachelorette season 19, Logan Palmer switched from dating Rachel Recchia to dating Gabby Windey and has now opened up about his mental health struggles. Logan, a 26-year-old videographer from San Diego, California, charmed both women when he showed up in his limo with baby chicks, saying he had to adapt to spending time with a couple of "cute chicks" all the time. Logan was the only man to kiss both Rachel and Gabby at the same time.
Logan later accepted Rachel's rose, which indicated that he would be dating her exclusively, but he soon realized that he had a stronger connection with Gabby, so he began dating her. The decision that Logan made was difficult because of the internal conflict he experienced, but at the end of the day, he decided to follow his heart.
Gabby was asked to give him a chance after he admitted to Rachel the truth. The relationship between Gabby and him seemed to be going well, as she accepted him into her group. Unfortunately, Logan's journey came to an abrupt end when he tested positive for COVID-19 and was forced to leave the show.
Following his exit from The Bachelorette, Logan shared a post on Instagram about his mental health struggles. A reality dating show was chosen for him because he thought it would be "an adventure" and something new.
The experience was much more than an experience for him. It was an experience that I came away with real feelings, strong emotions, lessons learned, and a lot to be grateful for." During the Bachelorette season, he said the two women, Rachel and Gabby, were very strong and helped him learn about himself and relationships.
After expressing his gratitude toward them, Logan apologized to Rachel for adding "more difficulty to a journey already challenged." Logan said that he had appreciated the class, patience, and time. Although I did not intend that, I found it inspiring how strong you remained through all of it.."
As Logan went on to thank Gabby, he said, "I am so grateful to have you and I in my life," adding, "I have grown into a better man as a result of your friendship." Logan said both women have made him better and deserve happiness. You will find it with the remaining men, I know it."
Former Bachelorette contestant Logan stated in his post that watching himself on the show gave him a different perspective. He stated that he always steers by his heart, regardless of whether it is popular. However, I intend to refocus my efforts to lead with intention and pursue with purpose in the future. I am ready to bring those lessons back into my life."
He stated, then, that he has been suffering from mental health issues since the age of 12, and the process was more challenging than he had anticipated in that regard. There are hurdles that all of us face at some point, but not everyone speaks about them."
Logan continued by saying, "I would like to be open and transparent about that part of my journey too, and I wish I could be a safe place for others who are going through something similar." "I am committed to acknowledging my mental health and its impact on those around me moving forward." Logan concluded his post by saying The Bachelorette "wasn't a perfect experience, but I am grateful for what I did experience."."
