There are two parents of the boy, both of whom are daily wage workers from Odisha. They had moved to Yedlapadu, in the Palnadu district, 15 days ago to work at a spinning mill. The National Institute of Virology in Pune received Friday night swab and blood samples from an eight-year-old boy, who was admitted to the Guntur government general hospital with symptoms of monkeypox.
