Erika Jayne of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is appealing a recent court ruling related to her diamond earrings. Erika has been involved in legal issues for years now, and there does not appear to be any light at the end of the tunnel. She is now doing her best to maintain possession of her million-dollar ear accessories.

Erika has been one of the most controversial characters in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The criticism began with her crass attitude and cursing, then with her entertaining costume changes, and, during season 11, her legal troubles became the focus of attention.

After it was revealed that Erika's estranged husband, Tom Girardi, was embezzling money in order to fund their ostentatious lifestyle, he was sued. Lawyers accused the singer of hiding funds with her LLC, EJ Global, and claiming she used it to hide funds.

According to court documents, Erika filed papers on Monday seeking to appeal a decision that would require her to forfeit her $1.4 million earnings. The earrings had been a gift from Tom and had been a subject of discussion for some time. Moreover, the singer has selected to have her appeal heard by the United States District Court rather than the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel.

Those familiar with the Real Housewives series may recall that on June 28, Judge Barry Russell stated that the jewelry had been purchased with settlement funds. Erika was served papers at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday while waiting for her luggage.

RHOBH star Lisa Rinna had just returned from Hawaii with her close friend. According to the documents, she was being sued for $50 million for racketeering. Edelson PC filed the lawsuit against Erika, alleging conspiracy to commit racketeering and unlawful business practices. It is unclear whether Erika plans to comment on the latest charges and she appears to be taking things day by day.

Erika has been portrayed in a nerve-wracking light as she continues to consume large amounts of alcohol on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12. Under the influence of alcohol, the singer has been blacking out and injuring herself, leaving her co-stars extremely concerned.

Even though Erika has had a difficult couple of years, she seems to be letting off some steam, but fans and friends would appreciate it if she did so in a responsible manner. Erika will be able to hold on to her earring for a while longer, but it is doubtful that she will have much time left.
