Season 3's Big Mystery: The Surprise Celeb Cameo in the Only Murders in the Building Finale

A new murder mystery awaits viewers in season 3 of Only Murders in the Building. Not only did viewers finally find out who killed Bunny Folger, but they also now know the identity of Bunny's killer. It seemed as if Mabel Mora, Charles-Haden Savage, and Oliver Putnam had returned to normal. The three Arconia neighbors can get their lives back on track after discovering that Cinda Canning's assistant Poppy White, Becky Butler, was the assailant.

Watch as Oliver struggles to prepare Ben for opening night despite Ben's difficult nature. Not only that, but Ben and his costar Charles haven't been getting along. Ben asked, "Okay, so then I can kill him?"

Oliver and Ben knew that there were issues between them, so Oliver proposed that Ben "use it" and "let the tension seep in" to the night's performance. "Then, Oliver, I might just have to kill him," Ben replied. Following that, a crew member walking by told Ben to "break a leg," causing Ben to say, "That's also an option."

Ben coughed out before the play began. Charles came over and wished him "good luck." Ben then calls Charles a "piece of s---." because of how saying "good luck" is a curse in the theater. Ben responded, "I'm the pro here. No need to worry about me.

We've got 2.5 hours to make it through." Charles asked as Ben replied, "If I can do it, you too can," said Charles. As soon as Charles revealed his warning to Ben, he said, "Keep your distance from her." Ben asked, "Why, what will you do?" Charles responded, "I know what you did," and walked away.

In the moments before the curtain rose, Ben had a look of concern on his face. Ben seemed to be having difficulty performing as he began to utter his first lines. He abruptly collapsed in front of the crowd.

Hoffman describes the finale as one of his favorite episodes because everyone is all in on every aspect, and it is brilliantly done. Our show feels like a quintessential 'classic meets modern' bit of madness that hopefully gives an affectionate nod to, but also a fresh take on, an Agatha Christie-style conclusion to a mystery.

The streaming service renewed Only Murders in the Building for a third season in July after the second season debuted to much acclaim in August 2021. Hulu now streams Only Murders in the Building's first two seasons.
