NCIS Season 20 has yet to be announced, and as much as we would like to see it as soon as possible, we have to wait a little longer. There will not be a premiere for the show next month, as I had originally planned. Our team wishes we could say we are receiving a surprise premiere date, but it does not appear to be the case. The premiere of NCIS Season 20 will not be taking place in August. Was anyone expecting the premiere to take place in the summer? Absolutely not!
Seasons of the series air in the fall. CBS won't risk anything by bringing it back in the summer when it's one of the biggest shows on the network. Additionally, there is a chance that the episodes won't even be ready by the deadline. Though we have some good news about the season, there is one thing to look forward to.
As far as we know, we will be able to watch the show once it returns. Currently, the NCIS Season 20 premiere date is set for Monday, September 19. The episodes will air at 9/8c like they did in 2021–2022. While CBS is keeping the Monday night slot, it's a shame for those who would like to have it on Tuesdays again.
Series hasn't encountered many issues with Monday night's time slot. Gibbs' departure was one of the most disappointing events of the month. Even though Harmon left the show, the ratings didn't suffer too much — the timeslot was also a factor.
It is with great pleasure to inform you that filming for the new season has now begun. Several cast members have shared updates, but one member has not been included: Gary Cole. After being framed for murder, Cole's character, Parker, went on the run. Getting to the bottom of the situation is the team's responsibility. Does this mean that we will see less of Parker in the future while the team tries to sort out what is going on? There is some uncertainty about Gibbs' return. Although Harmon hasn't confirmed, the door is open if he would like to return. Despite his departure from the series, he is still an executive producer at the studio.
