Walt and Jesse return to 'Better Call Saul': How Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reunited

In Better Call Saul Season 6 we finally got the moment that fans have been waiting for: Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman returned to their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, respectively.

It was a great pleasure to see the actors reprise their iconic roles in this prequel spin-off, which follows lawyer Jimmy McGill Bob Odenkirk and how he became the legendary lawyer known and loved by fans.

Cranston is returning to Breaking Bad with Paul, so here's what you need to know. The title of Better Call Saul Season 6's 11th episode, "Breaking Bad," gave fans the biggest clue that Cranston and Paul would indeed appear in the episode. This episode begins with a recreation of Saul Goodman's introductory episode from Breaking Bad, "Better Call Saul," in which Walt and Jesse kidnap the lawyer and force him to kneel in front of an open grave.

In Better Call Saul, Lalo Salamanca Tony Dalton and Ignacio "Nacho" Varga Michael Mando played major roles. This is the first time Saul mentions both characters. After cutting to the post-Breaking Bad storyline, the opening sequence keeps the camera on Saul with only hints of Walt and Jesse's famous RV in the door covered with duct tape.

There was a long wait for the story to return to the Breaking Bad timeline, where the episode showed Saul entering the RV after agreeing to work with Walt and Jesse, the duo entering the RV shortly thereafter, and the group entering the RV together. They discuss the way they wish to work together in a "Laurel and Hardy act" that Saul later calls a "Laurel and Hardy act".

Saul admires the way Walt and Jesse conduct business, seeing an opportunity for new money-making schemes, and recognizes immediately that the duo is manufacturing the blue methamphetamine, and Walt is the notorious Heisenberg. Saul wants to ride shotgun, Walt wants to drive, and Jesse sits on the ground. The pair bicker when Walt can't get the RV running, much like the vehicle often had difficulty starting in Breaking Bad.
