Over many years, viewers of "Days of Our Lives" have come to know and love the character of Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) on the show. It was Rafe that first came to Salem in 2008 as an FBI agent tasked with helping to protect Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) while she was in the witness protection program, as reported by Soaps in Depth.
Ultimately, Rafe and Sami fell in love with each other and eventually got married. Rafe was a good match for Sami, as he often helped to balance out Sami's wild and crazy ways and helped to keep her grounded despite her wild and crazy ways. There was no chance for the pair to survive, and Rafe has had a series of failed relationships since that time, and fans have watched as he has dealt with various heartbreaks.
According to Soap Central, after his divorce from Sami, Rafe had a fling with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and even fell in love with his physical therapist, Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause), after their fling ended. After an affair with Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso), Rafe began to develop feelings for the widower but his marriage to Sami was ended by a secret one-night stand with his ex-wife Rafe. Rafe had a brief romance with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) before eventually marrying Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), as per a report in Soaps.
It should be noted that one of Rafe's most shocking romances was with Sami's sister, Carrie Brady Reed (Christie Clark), who was Rafe's very own little sister. Many fans were stunned by the couple's relationship, and others were upset by the pair's relationship.
