The Flash, one of the most popular DC Comics series, is coming to the end of its run after its upcoming ninth season. The production of the 13-episode final season of the series is slated to begin in September, and the series is expected to premiere in 2023.
The series' producer, Eric Wallace, said, "Nine seasons!" Nine years of saving Central City and taking audiences on an emotional journey filled with heart, humor, and spectacle. In his last race, Barry Allen reached the starting gate. Each week, so many amazing people have contributed their talents, time, and love to this wonderful show."Wallace expressed thanks to the cast and crew for making the show popular in his statement.
"As we prepare to celebrate the show's legendary legacy with our final chapter, I want to thank our incredible cast, writers, producers, and crew who made 'The Flash' such an unforgettable experience for audiences around the world."The Flash is now the longest-running show on The CW, along with Arrow with eight seasons, and Legends of Tomorrow with seven seasons.
The Flash is the last DC show on CW, followed by Superman & Lois, Stargirl, and Gotham Knights. As part of the previous season of The Flash, Grant Gustin, Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Kayla Compton, and Brandon McKnight played prominent roles.
