The Young and the Restless has a brilliant idea thanks to Phyllis Summers! Summer Newman Abbott, her beloved daughter, should hire her. Her spin was that it was a great chance for her and her daughter to bond. We know she's just spying on Diane Jenkins for the sake of removing her from her offspring's lives forever. Can this be considered a good idea?
It's only Diane Jenkins Phyllis is doing this for, and Summer will feel so disappointed and used once the truth comes out. Yet, even that wonderful job opportunity that awful Sally Spectra arranged for Summer had nothing to do with Summer. Just like everything else, it was about Phyllis.
Everything Phyllis touches always ends in spectacular flames, and 35% of the audience is there for the drama. There is no doubt that Summer will be crushed. Kyle Abbott will be infuriated. As well, Jack Abbott will once again learn why Phyllis cannot be trusted.
Wouldn't that be better than everyone sitting around and playing one, big happy family? Supergirl and mother Phyllis have always been a tight bond, which is why 14% of voters are eager to see them spend more time together.
