School shooting survivor Ava Swiss left the judges stunned during her audition for America's Got Talent. A gunman killed four students and injured seven more at Oxford High School in Michigan last November. Swiss is an 18-year-old senior at the school. Performing "Remember" by Lauren Daigle on the popular US talent show, Swiss delivered a powerful performance. The contestant received a standing ovation from all four judges due to the emotional nature of her performance.
At the beginning of her appearance, the teen said, "It's been tough.". At one point, my brother and I talked and said we would never step foot back into school ever again. It has been about two months since we have been in person in school, so it's getting better."
Singing [this song] reminds me of the good times in my life. I remember my community, my family - just the love, and I remember that it's all there for me and it will help me succeed," she added. Because of that, I'm grateful I'm here today and can share this with more people than I ever thought possible.
"This was one of those auditions that Simon Cowell will never forget. Sofia Vergara, a fellow judge, said: "It completely blew me away." Not only were you singing, but you were also showing us your emotions. It gave me goosebumps.
