A tour by Lady A has been postponed as band member Charles Kelley begins his sobriety journey. Lady Antebellum announced on Thursday on Instagram that the Request Line tour has been postponed to 2023. Thirteen August was the scheduled start date of the trek. A statement from Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood, and Kelley described the decision to postpone their tour as a hard, but important one.
Our Request Line Tour has been postponed until the following year. We are eager to keep being on the road with our fans, so it was a hard but necessary decision," they said. Family is what we are, and we are proud to say that Charles has conquered the battle of addiction.
We are determined to right now to do what will best set us up for many more years together by being the healthiest, strongest, and most creative band we can be. We will work together with our families and our professional team. The band concluded their message by thanking fans for their patience. "We're excited to make 2023 our best year yet!" The group's new song, Told You I Could Drink, a collaboration with Breland, was not the subject of Kelley's post. He wrote, "Ironic since I stopped drinking haha" alongside the promotional post.
