The last episode of General Hospital brought a welcome surprise when Victor Cassadine remembered that he had a good half-sister in Port Charles — and turned to her for assistance in strategizing about Spencer, with his father, Nikolas. She was, as one would expect, a voice of common sense, as one would expect from Alexis Davis.

Even though she was born with the moniker Natasha Alexandra Mikkosovna Cassadine, the less assuming Alexis has forged her path away from her often-homicidal clan to become an upstanding citizen, lawyer, and now publisher, fighting for truth, justice, and the Port Charles way. In the past, she relied on her gene pool to accomplish her tasks.

In light of all the nefarious things she has done without being punished for — including causing a couple of deaths and attempting to cause a few more — it's not unreasonable for her to spend time in prison for attempting to kill Franco Baldwin, even though she missed and hit Dante Falconeri.

As a consequence of all those interesting...quirks...of our dear Alexis, it has been surprising not to see her family members lean on her more during these trying times. This is why Victor's plan to get her to attend a family meeting last week was so great.

It's no secret that the Cassadines think big — they fought global warming by freezing the world. They might not have done this...world dominance was their reason...but this isn't the time to split hairs. She is smart, civic-minded, and able to poke holes in their hair-brained schemes to keep them out of trouble. She should help out more since they are prone to getting into big trouble.
