Think you have what it takes to become the next “American Idol?” It might be closer than you think. With Kentucky native Noah Thompson crowned the winner of season 20, the signing competition is already auditioning its next round of contestants.
Season 21 auditions are officially open and fans can submit their auditions virtually. 'American Idol is looking for Massachusetts residents to audition beginning August 31. To do so, fans should click here, which will take them to the "Idol Across America" web page.
There you will be able to choose which state you live in and wish to audition for. There is a specific audition date for each state - for Massachusetts, it is August 31. For age purposes and to begin profile registration, auditionees will need to enter their birthday information.
The age requirement for auditioning is 15 years old. For children under 18, a parent or guardian will need to enter their birthday. Virtually face-to-face auditions will be held with the show's producers. For a chance to audition live for Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, hopefuls will receive real-time feedback.
