Cast additions include a new medical examiner for CSI: Vegas

A new recurring character and two new faces have joined the cast of CSI: Vegas. Fans will say goodbye to two original stars as the series bids farewell to Sara Amini and Joel Johnstone in Season 2.The role of Sonya will be played by Amini, a head medical examiner who is overly passionate and follows all the rules. Jack will be played by Johnstone. His brother is also Sonya's assistant medical examiner, who is intelligent and optimistic.

Throughout her career, Amini has appeared on several hit series. In addition to NCIS: Los Angeles, she has also appeared in The Twilight Zone, 9-1-1, and The Rookie.The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's Season 5 is currently being filmed by Johnstone for Amazon Prime. The actor earned a shared Screen Actors Guild Award in 2020 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of Archie Cleary. In addition to S.W.A.T. and The Astronaut Wives Club, Joel Johnstone has also starred in other films.
