Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey's fashion styles have changed significantly since the beginning of The Bachelorette. They explain why the changes occurred. Gabby, a 31-year-old nurse from Denver, Colorado, and Rachel, a 26-year-old pilot from Clermont, Florida, were the runner-ups to Susie Evans on Clayton Echard's season of The Bachelor earlier this year.
The two best friends bonded after their difficult experience on the show, and now they are hoping to find love again through this opportunity. Fans have criticized The Bachelor franchise's stylist, Cary Fetman, since Rachel and Gabby's season of The Bachelorette premiered.
Cary has claimed that he is not "a fashion dictator," and is simply helping the Bachelorette stars pick out their looks, but fans continue to blame him for any style decisions they disagree with. Some fans wonder why Rachel and Gabby's style has changed from casual to glamorous on season 19 of The Bachelorette.
Rachel and Gabby revealed in an interview that their fashion senses have shifted since they became co-Bachelorettes because they are now able to wear new styles that they did not have access to previously. Rachel and Gabby explained that, as the Bachelorettes, they are able to wear beautiful, usually designer clothes that not everybody is used to seeing.
According to Gabby, this is because they wore their own clothing on Clayton's season, and they wear their own clothes on social media. She added, "But why wouldn't we take advantage of these wonderful clothes while we can? As a result, they naturally appear different because not everyone has access to them.
However, I do not believe people remember this when they are watching the show back and making comments about our appearance. "When do you get to wear a ballgown? Never. I should leave mine alone — it is beautiful."
In addition, Rachel and Gabby discussed their favorite looks from the season. On the nighttime portion of her Paris one-on-one date with Tino Franco, Rachel wore a black sequined dress with feathers and a long coat.
Gabby agreed and told Rachel that she looked "amazing" in the dress. Rachel responded, "It was so beautiful. It made me feel so awesome wearing it." Gabby agreed and said she looked "amazing." Gabby's personal favorite was the plum dress that she wore at a rose ceremony.
Rachel mentioned that she was enamored with the dress' sleeves. As Gabby revealed, they were going to cut the sleeves off, however, they never got to it, and she is happy that they did not. Moreover, Rachel affirmed that Cary has never forced her or Gabby to wear anything. In her words, "He takes into account everything that we like, and he makes us feel beautiful. I think me and Gabby were really fortunate to have him."
Rachel's sentiments were confirmed by Gaby, who also stated that Cary "really gets to know our personalities, styles and what makes us feel good." She stated that he does the shopping for us, but that we are allowed to choose what we feel the most comfortable in ourselves.."
While fans may not be familiar with Rachel and Gabby's new styles, if they truly desire this season of The Bachelorette to be about women's empowerment, they should accept whatever outfits they choose.
