The latest legal issues complicate the situation and fans are unsure of the outcome.
She has experienced less than a graceful fall from grace during the course of the past year as Bravo viewers have watched her attempt to defend herself from multiple attacks. Erika had been accused of being aware of Tom Girardi's shady business deals after he was accused of embezzling settlement funds from his victims in order to continue to live his extravagant lifestyle.
It has been several years since Tom was disbarred and forced to file for bankruptcy. Now residing in a nursing home with Erika, the once-famous attorney is attempting to determine her next course of action. Vacations are supposed to be relaxing, right? According to reports that Erika Jayne, an airline pilot, was served with lawsuit papers at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.
After returning from a luxury island vacation, Erika was approached by a woman in the airport holding two large stacks of papers. A $50 million racketeering lawsuit has been served on Erika.
The reality star has yet to provide a comment regarding the incident and is continuing to walk away to her vehicle. Erika was initially approached while waiting for bags in the luggage claim while wearing a cream sweatsuit.
Besides the news, a video of the whole incident was also posted by @queensofbravo. During one episode of the Real Housewives of Dallas, Tiffany Moon left a comment, noting that racketeering was one of her SAT vocabulary flash cards.
For viewers who are unfamiliar with racketeering, it describes extortion from a person through threats or force. Specifically, Edelson PC alleged nine charges against Erika, including conspiracy to commit racketeering and unlawful business practices.
Aside from helping Tom's office, Girardi Keese, funnel money, Erika's EJ Global was supposed to help the firm funnel money. There has always been a lot of intrigue surrounding Erika's luxurious life, but now the paperwork suggests that she was the one who flaunted the money and acted as the "frontwoman." In April, she was charged with racketeering but had the case dismissed.
